The first Barber dimes were produced at the Philadelphia Mint on Jan. 2, 1892.

Composition: .900 Silver, .100 Copper
Diameter: 17.91 millimeters
Weight: 2.500 grams
Edge: Reeded
Head: Liberty head wearing a Phrygian cap
Reverse: Wreath
Designer: Charles Barber & James B. Longacre

What many Barber collectors dream of owning is the above specimen of the 1894-S dime. Only 24 specimens of the coin were produced, in Proof, with 14 missing or lost.
